1. What is the TTG China Travel Awards? The TTG China Travel Awards has been recognising the best of Greater China’s travel industry since 2008. This prestigious annual event honours stellar Travel Suppliers across Airlines, Hotels & Resorts, Serviced Residences and Travel Services segments in the region. This TTG Travel Trade Publishing event is proudly organised by TTG China, with the support of TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia, TTG India and TTGmice. The TTG China Travel Awards, into its 5th year in 2012, will celebrate 60 exemplary travel trade suppliers as determined by votes cast by fellow trade professionals who are readers of TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia, TTG India and TTGmice. The TTG China Travel Awards is modelled after the annual flagship TTG Travel Awards, which honours the best in Asia Pacific’s travel and tourism organisations, and is now regarded as the most coveted and influential awards in the region’s industry since its inception in 1989.
2. Are the award categories and accompanying awards the same each year?
All categories in the TTG China Travel Awards will be reviewed each year to ensure that it reflects the dynamism of the travel industry. New award categories may be added and existing ones may be removed in keeping with the development of Greater China’s tourism industry.
3. How are the winners announced? Winners of the TTG China Travel Awards will be announced at a grand award presentation and gala dinner mid-April that will be attended by prominent personnel from international travel and tourism organisations. This prestigious event will be held in conjunction with the annual Incentive Travel and Conventions, Meetings China (IT&CM China) trade show. Entry is by invitation only.
4. How are the winners for each award determined? All travel consultants, tour operators and destination management readers of TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia, TTG India and TTGmice are invited to vote for their favourite travel and tourism organisations. As our readers are also fellow professionals in the industry, winners will be deemed to be the best in Greater China’s travel and tourism industry from the trade’s perspective.
5. What is the voting process like? Voting duration: It spans a period of two months, beginning in early January and ending on 2 March 2012. Who votes: All travel consultants, tour operators and destination management readers of TTG China, TTG-BTmice China, TTG Asia, TTG India and TTGmice are encouraged to vote. As the organisation’s customers and closest working partners, they are the most apt to judge the industry’s best. How to vote: As there are no pre-nominated contenders for the awards, voters simply nominate organisations that they perceive best deserve the various awards, based on a listed set of criteria.
