Voting Rules & Criteria


Voting closes on the 2nd of March 2012

Voting Rules
  1. For voting by travel consultants, tour operators and destination management companies only.
  2. Only one voting entry per person is allowed – using the voting form or online voting.
  3. All votes are confidential.
  4. The voting form is published in TTG China and TTG-BTmice China and is available online at www.ttgchina.com/ttg-awards.
  5. No responsibility will be accepted by the organisers for voting forms lost, delayed or damaged in the post.
  6. There are no pre-nominated contenders for any voting awards.
  7. The results for TTG Travel Awards 2012 are final and no correspondence will be entertained
  8. Voting forms will be independently tabulated and evaluated by an independent auditor in Singapore.

Voting Criteria:

Airline Awards Best airline serving and operating in China in its respective category in terms of:

  • Providing the best service, network and schedules.
  • Most agent-friendly in terms of reservations, confirmations and commission payments.
  • Most professional sales and marketing team in terms of innovative ideas, incentive programmes and servicing.
Hotel Chain Awards Best Hotel Chain serving and operating in China in its respective category in terms of:

  • Most consistent in products and services
  • Most professional sales and marketing team in terms of innovative ideas and servicing.
Individual Hotel Awards Best individual hotel serving and operating in China in its respective category in terms of:

a) Best Luxury Hotel – Best hotel catering to the upmarket traveller. This hotel must also boast the best visual appeal and ambience reflecting upmarket status.

b) Best Mid-range Hotel – Best mid-range hotel catering to the traveller who seeks three to four star-quality and comfort.

c) Best Business Hotel – Best hotel catering to the business traveller.

d) Best Meetings & Conventions Hotel – Best hotel catering to meeting and convention needs.

e) Best New Hotel - Best new hotel that opened in 2011.
Resort Hotel Awards Best individual resort hotel serving and operating in China in its respective category in terms of:

a) Best Resort Hotel in China – Best resort hotel in China. This resort must also boast the best visual appeal and ambience reflecting local flavour.

b) Best New Resort Hotel in China – Best new resort that opened in 2011.

c) Best Spa Resort in China – Best spa resort providing excellent spa facilities, environment and service.
Hotel Awards in Other Regions within China Best individual hotel serving operating regions within China in its respective category in terms of meeting & catering to the needs of travellers visiting regions within China.

a) Northeast China: Liaoning Province, Heilongjiang Province, Jilin Province

b) North China (excluding Beijing): Heibei Province, Shanxi Province, Tianjin City, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region

c) Northwest China: Shaanxi Province, Gansu Province, Xinjiang Uyghur Autonomous Region, Qinghai Province, Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region

d) East China (excluding Shanghai): Jiangsu Province, Shandong Province, Zhejiang Province, Fujian Province, Anhui Province, Jiangxi Province

Serviced Residence Award Best Serviced Residence Operator catering to mid and long-term staying guests.
Travel Services Awards Best organisation serving and operating in China in its respective category in terms of:

a) Best Travel Agency in China
  • The travel agency with the best service and online accessibility.
  • Most agent-friendly in terms of reservations, confirmations and commission payments.
  • Most professional sales and marketing team in terms of innovative ideas, incentive programmes and servicing

  • The city most friendly and desirable to leisure travelers and for Travel Agents and Tour Operators to organise tours.

  • Most efficient, flexible and friendly in terms of response to business travel and MICE enquiries and information.
